Alexander J. Caro
A.J. Caro has been a trailblazer in the business world since he was a teenager. At just 17 years old, he took the reins at the largest transportation company on Long Island and supervised more than one-hundred employees. Six years later, at twenty-three, Mr. Caro purchased his first company, Arrow Security. He took the firm from its struggling position in the marketplace and built it into one of the most recognized brands in the industry. The firm now has offices worldwide and has contracts with local, state and federal governments, major retailers, utility companies, an airport, and many others.
It didn't take long for Mr. Caro's success at Arrow Security to be recognized. The company was selected for inclusion on Inc. Magazine list of fastest growing companies in America. Arrow Security experienced a 48.7% increase in revenues from 2005 to 2008. This unprecedented growth is even more remarkable when you consider that the achievement took place during one of the worst recessions in modern history.
His entrepreneurial spirit and business leadership skills led Mr. Caro to his next success story, the creation of Bridge Business & Property Brokers, Inc. The company officially opened its doors in March of 2004 and soon thereafter, Mr. Caro was identifying industry trends and movements and forming partnerships between individual companies that dramatically increased their values and bottom lines. In less than a year, Bridge Business & Property Brokers, Inc. grew into one the largest business brokerage firms in the region and for the second straight time, Mr. Caro's business acumen was recognized by Inc. Magazine's list of fastest growing companies in America.
In 2007, Mr. Caro purchased the first companion service company in New York. The company provides licensed home health care professionals, nurses, and other medical services to the elderly and disabled. Since its inception, it has posted a 500% rate of growth every year. Two years later, Mr. Caro purchased an interest in Strategic Healthcare Staffing. The company now boasts offices throughout the United States and---in keeping with his innovative touch---Strategic Healthcare Staffing became Mr. Caro's third business venture to make the prestigious Inc. Magazine's fastest growing list of companies in America.
Mr. Caro's out-of-the-box thinking and visionary leadership landed him on the Top 40 Under 40 Rising Stars list, compiled by Long Island Business News. He was honored at the 2005 Inspirational Ball for his achievements and inspiration to others. An avid chess player, Mr. Caro turned even his personal passion into a winning business strategy. Using the analytical skills required to win at the highest levels of chess, Mr. Caro, along with two other renowned chess players, started a hedge fund. Within three months, the group was managing more than a half a million investment dollars and outperforming the S&P 500.
His history of unprecedented success makes Mr. Caro a frequently sought-after guest by local and national media outlets. He has been interviewed or profiled by Newsday, the Fox Business Network, channels 2, 4, 7 and 11 in New York City, and many others.
